Life is Good!

Staying true to our theme of trying new things every day during vacance, the ladies and I visited a new park on Friday and attended a rugby game on Saturday! Two fabulous days and two wonderful new adventures!

Le Parc de Sceaux is found in la ville de Antony, a 20 minute ride south on the RER B. Antony is a beautiful suburb made up of quiet streets and unique, large maisons. The ladies and I enjoyed our walk from the RER to the parc through the beautiful tree lined streets and quickly found the playground on the parc's grounds. Elise was thrilled to find a swing (there are no swings in Paris) while Celia climbed on a large wooden bear that had a slide down its back. So far, Sceaux was a huge hit!

After the playground, we walked along a tree lined path until we came to a large opening with ponds, canals, and huge water fountains. We meandered along the pond and enjoyed watching the water spray from the fountain holes. It was a beautiful, perfect day!

After lunching on pretzels and ice cream cones and enjoying the beautiful grounds and mini chateaux,
the ladies and I found a beautiful garden full of flowers and ladybugs!
Le parc de sceaux is a great place to visit and will be a part of our park routine come summer time!

Saturday we adventured down the road to Le Stade Charlety to watch a rugby game. Andy, Brian, the ladies, and I joined our friends Rachel and Simon for the game. Simon helped us learn some of the rules and we all really got into the game and cheered on our Paris Pink Team!
We all received pink flags to wave in support of our team. Elise enjoyed them even more post game as we walked home.
Flags are fabulous fun and such a special treat to wave around the Cite! Or at our daddy's head!

Oh, and our team won! I forgot who they played, but the pink prevailed and we proudly waved our flags as we returned home. Good times!

Life has been fabulous over the last couple weeks. Paris in spring is the most amazing time of the year and we can't get enough of the blue skies and shining sun. There are people everywhere! As I walked home from my run, I strolled on the Cite grounds past the grassy quad area and loved seeing all the families and friends gathering for picnics and soccer games. It's a fabulous way of life here in Paris. The park grounds are covered by people picnicking and enjoying the weather. I love seeing so many people enjoying life and taking the time to enjoy each other. These Parisians have the right idea. Life is Good!
